Oxfordshire Weekly News 19 November 1902 : Transfers of
Boat Inn, Thrupp, Thomas Perrin to William Allison

On the 1911 census, my husband's great grandfather and great grandmother, William and Emily Allison, appear at the Boat Inn, Thrupp as licensed victuallers, which fits with the family stories. They went on to run the Lamb and Flag in Abingdon, though William died in January 1913, and he ran the pub with his wife for two months, then she went on by herself after he passed away. You have Mrs Emily Allison shown on your website as running the pub in 1920, 1924 and 1928 *
