The Pidgeon Family :
Lucy Pidgeon was a barmaid at the Queen’s Head, in 1891, where the
publican John Turner was the husband of her cousin Louisa (née Bennett). In
1908 Lucy married her cousin Joseph Creeden, the son of a policeman
William Creeden and Mary Ann Tucker, who had come to London from Devon with
her mother Emma before she married Henry Payne and took over the
Rising Sun at 1 Vernon Street,
Fulham. *
In 1911 Joseph Creeden was working as a barman, but they were living with
Lucy’s sister and family in East Ham. He died two years later at the age of
27. *
