The Ship Tavern is close to the Swallow Galley in Rothehithe Street. The address in the 1871 census and earlier is the Ship, 64 Lower Queen Street. This is also listed as Hanover Stairs in 1827 and 1843. This was rebuilt by 1949 at 562 Rotherhithe Street, just a little to the south, which is the modern address (though it was renamed recently as the Clipper, and is now closed). *
