He was the son of William Alfred and Emma Mary Ann Wilkins, the record shows the father living at 16 Tetley Street and being a Beer House Keeper - the Brown Horse, he later went on to the Star PH, 64 South street, Newington, 1901 and The Crown PH, 172 Cable Street, in 1911.
