Reynolds's Newspaper 26 November 1933:
Clinic Opened in Derelict Public House
In a derelict public house in Islington there has been a baby clinic where mothers and mothers to be are given the best possible advice.
What was once known as the Rose Tavern, Popham road, is now charmingly renamed "The Rose" and here little flowers of humanity are given the full bloom of health.
"The Rose" is a branch of the South Islington Mothers and Babies Welfare Centre, which is to be visited next Tuesday by Miss Eva Moore, the actress. There will be a concert in aid of funds, for there is an overdraft at the bank.
