I have found that one of my ancestors, Robert Thomas Apps was the licence holder for this pub under its previous name The Lady of the Lake. This is recorded on the 1851 census, and on his daughter's birth certificate in 1853. *+

Morning Advertiser 10 January 1860
Lady of the Lake, Starch Green, Stephen Killick to Evan Dunham Joynt
In this case, the incoming tenant asked permission to change the sign of the house to that of the "Eagle"; but the magistrates said that they could not now grant the application, but in all probability there would be no objection to do so at the next general annual meeting.

I am researching a relative Evan Dunham Joynt. According to the 1861 census, he was a licensed victualler for "The Eagle", Victoria Road, Starch Green, Hammersmith.
His name has been mangled in the transcription as Van D Joest but it should read Evan D Joynt. *

Evan Dunham Joynt is at the British Queen in 1864. At an earlier stage, an Evan Dunham Joynt was at the Grapes, 26 Great Marlborough street between 1839 and 1843 at minimum. This must be his father.
