Florence Collins (my great grandmother) is the daughter of James & Harriet Collins of The Giraffe, Newington. She is the licensee of the Old Greyhound, Milton Street in 1901. She is also husband of Thomas Stanley Foster of The Artichoke, Camberwell. She is lastly,  the Mrs Florence Foster at the Beech Tree, Bromley, where she survived the pub being hit by a Doodlebug. This was apparently rather better than the current pub, which I'm told is now a shadow of the original building. ***
