I believe this starts out as the New Dock tavern, in Cleethorpes road by 1851. It gets confusing in the 1861 census, as there is the Dock Hotel, with Thomas carrington listed at the Dock Hotel, Cleethorpes road, but at the same census there is also a New Dock Hotel, Cleethorpes road with Sarah Whitaker as the licensee. The problem here is that Sarah Whittaker is a beer house keeper in 1863 (It is not the same venue).
This is the Royal Dock Hotel in the 1871 census although the hotel itself is named at 35 Cleethorpes Road where William Wilkington in the Hotel Manager, and this is the Oberon Hotel by 1913.
