Built in the early 1840�s. Fanny Lock�s Brewery, was the, only other building on this site.
It was always had a Full Licence, it changed its name to Bevois Street Tavern in the early 1900�s,
It had reverted back to Bevois Castle Hotel by 1934.
It was compulsory purchased on 8th August 1964 by the local authority and demolished shortly afterwards to allow the redevelopment of the area. It was owned by Gales Horndean Brewery. *
