Leytonstone pub history index
British History states that this was originally the Robin Hood by 1670, and became the Red Lion by 1766. It is also thought the Old Red Lion was rebuilt around 1890. Now, in recent years it is known as Zulus. The name of this pub reverted in 2011 to Red Lion (after a period as ‘Zulus’). **
