William Pond, Landlord of the Butchers Arms - 1874 to 1898, and uncle of Edward Thomas Pond

Kindly provided by Julian Baker

William Pond, landlord from around 1874 to 1898.  I guess that this picture is taken near the end of his tenancy or even after it.  He lived on to the ripe old age of 82, dying in 1904 (In Croydon, at his daughter’s).

Edward Thomas Pond, who was shown as landlord in 1908, was William Pond’s nephew.
