The White Heart was closed in June
of 1969, my Dad, Walter Douglas Werrell was the last publican prior to the
demolition to make way for the M4 later that year. *
The Three Kings Jacks Booth: We moved from the White Heart to run the Three
Kings Jacks Booth in July of 1969 again Walter Douglas Werrell ran the place
until August of 1983, when Whitbread took over the pub and replaced my dad
with a manager. All of our regulars went to Snowy's pub in Theale. *
